Did He Just Say Hip Surgery?

In today’s episode, go with me to my Chiropractor to get the officially unofficial diagnosis of my hips, I do a little tutorial editing, and then spend the rest of the day trying to surprise my wife with something nice for Valentine’s Day.

Let me know in the comments below if you give Valentine’s Day and thumbs up or a thumbs down.

Disclaimer: This video really has nothing to do with photography, but come back for the next episode where I take you through my portrait preparation before delivery.

Now, on with the show!

Hips and PAIN

I’m not going to say a lot about the severe pain I’ve been experiencing with my hips, but I will say this…

As one who is creative, chronic PAIN is a serious buzz kill.

I almost said it was a “serious inspiration killer”, but that simply isn’t true.

In fact, PAIN is a fantastic source of inspiration for much creativity.

Every album Metallica has ever done was inspired by PAIN, every stand-up comedian is inspired by PAIN, and YES, every Creative Portrait I make is inspired by PAIN.

Here’s a Fun Fact for you.

Did you know Norman Rockwell was heavily criticized throughout his early career because art critics didn’t believe his work to be “art”. They believed “art” had to be created from a place of angst or PAIN.

Unfortunately, this limited mindset still dominates today.

You might be wondering, “How do your fun and entertaining Composites come from a place of PAIN?”

Just to see if anyone actually reads this, leave a comment below and let me know if you really want to know the answer to that question.

That’s a Wrap

So, I have a LOT more to talk about when it comes to our Limitations and what’s holding us back from creativity and Making Awesome Pictures, which I will be talking about a lot soon.

For now, leave a comment below and tell me what’s holding you back from expressing your creativity.
